Bask Bank pros and cons
Pros
-
Bask Bank pays a strong yield on its Interest Savings and Interest Checking accounts.
-
Yields on CDs are also competitive.
-
Bask Bank charges very few fees.
Cons
-
Customers have 10 business days to fund a new CD, and 15 business days to fund a new checking or savings account, or else the bank may close the accounts.
Bask Bank products
Bask Bank Interest Savings Account
Pros
-
Bask Bank’s Interest Savings Account, which is the one we scored, offers a competitive yield.
-
There are no monthly account fees.
-
There is no minimum balance requirement.
Cons
-
Your account may be closed if not funded within 15 business days.
-
There are online transfer limits, which vary depending on your banking relationship and account activity at Bask Bank.
-
Neither of Bask Bank’s two savings accounts come with ATM access.
The Bask Interest Savings account doesn’t come with an ATM card so you’ll need to transfer money either to your Bask Interest Checking account, if you have one, or to an external account. You can also perform a wire transfer. To deposit money, you can use these methods as well as mobile check deposit or direct deposit of your paycheck.
The bank also has a Bask Mileage Savings account, which we didn’t score, that allows you to earn 1.75 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles miles for every $1 saved annually.

Bask Bank CD
Pros
-
Offers competitive yields on all of its CDs.
-
Minimum opening deposit is the same as or lower than some banks.
Cons
-
Doesn't offer terms longer than two years.
-
Doesn't offer any specialty CDs, such as a no-penalty CD.
Bask Bank offers six terms of CDs, all of which earn high rates, but it’s not a great place for building a CD ladder because there are no terms longer than two years. The early withdrawal penalties are generally in line with what many other banks charge. For instance, if you need to withdraw your funds early from a one-year CD, Bask Bank will charge you 90 days’ worth of interest.

Bask Bank Interest Checking Account
Pros
-
The Interest Checking account earns a competitive yield for a checking account.
-
There are no monthly account fees.
-
Customers get a debit card and surcharge-free access to more than 55,000 ATMs through the Allpoint® network.
-
The bank sometimes has promotions, including cash bonuses if you complete certain qualifying activities.
Cons
-
Accounts may be closed if not funded within 15 business days.
Keeping your money in this account means all your money will be working hard for you, not just what you can put in savings. Plus, the account doesn’t charge overdraft fees, nonsufficient funds fees or stop payment fees.
While you don't get access to the biggest ATM network available, it's still a good size. If you don't like carrying a debit card around, you can also add it to a digital wallet to make quick payments from your phone.
Bask Bank pays solid rates across all of its accounts, and that includes checking.
You earn a competitive yield on your whole balance and you don’t have to meet any requirements to get that rate — not something you often find with interest checking accounts.
Customer experience
